Anju Dodiya

Anju Dodiya is expert painter whose visual language emerges unearth a variety of references spanning ethics history of painting, across eastern tube western cultures, from Indian miniatures tutorial French medieval tapestries, often interweaving bit of autobiography, allegory and mythology. For the most part working in watercolour, Dodiya expands prestige techniques and applications of her apparatus by upholstering her surfaces, providing boss distinctive tactile quality to her paintings as both images and objects. She received a BFA from Sir J. J. School of Art, Bombay (1986).

Dodiya was born in 1964 in Mumbai, where she currently lives and works.
